ATHLETE HIGHLIGHTS

Two of our own are doing amazing things on the world stage right now — give them a follow and show some love.

Jess Blewitt spent the last few months of her off-season in Queenstown, training at The Mill alongside her outdoor bike sessions to prepare for the year ahead. Catch her next race 28–31 May in Loudenvielle, France — and follow her on Instagram to keep up with her season. Go Jess!

MILL METHOD UPDATE

The Mill Method – Block 2 is here!

Block 2 of The Mill Method kicks off this Monday 4th May, and it’s a goodie! Building on the strength base we developed in Block 1, we’re shifting the focus to new movement patterns: deadlifts on Tuesdays, overhead press / pull ups on Thursdays, and barbell reverse lunges on Fridays. Same periodisation model, new lifts to master.

Here’s what the week looks like:

  • Monday – Endurance
  • Tuesday – Lower body strength (deadlift focus)
  • Wednesday – Threshold conditioning
  • Thursday – Upper body strength (overhead press & pull up focus)
  • Friday – Full body EMOM + rotating capacity piece
  • Saturday – Conditioning

We are also introducing some plyometric work on Tuesdays and Fridays – low volume, high quality, and designed to help you express the strength you’ve already built dynamically. Consider it the base for what’s coming in Block 3.

TRAINER SPOTLIGHT: STEF 

We’re excited to introduce our newest addition to The Mill PT team, Stef Krismer! Here’s Stef in her own words on what you can expect from training with her:

“Working with me, you can expect a combination of rehabilitation-focused training, Pilates and general strength training, with an emphasis on movement quality, load management and sustainable progress that supports both everyday life and increased performance in your chosen pursuit. If you’re looking to train smarter, move better and stay active for the long term, let’s get moving!”
